Desert Flower

Theodore and I went for a walk the other day and we stumbled upon this:

Isn't it cool? I know nothing about Arizona vegetation (except that the cactus takes twenty-five years to grow one arm) so for all I know this could be a weed or some other unwanted planted but I still like it. It was only around for two days or so and then it turned a dark maroon and died. I like to pretend that it is a really exotic and rare flower that people only wish they could stumble across and Theo and I were priveleged enough to catch it. Lucky us!

  1. It's a bottle brush plant. We have one in our back yard. You can still see them sometimes planted in the middle of the freeways. An interesting plant indeed!
